Swimley Sr. and Catherine D. (Duvall) Swimley. He was a graduate of Handley High School and was a veteran of the Air National Guard attaining the rank of Sergeant. William was self employed as a property manager for WAA Apartments. He was a member of Burnt Factory United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and served on many church committees. He loved his church family as his own.<\/p>\n<p>William married Susan Clevenger on July 4, 1971 in Winchester, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>Along with his wife, Susan, he is survived by a daughter, Christie Swimley Jensen (Clint); a son, William T. Swimley, III (Kristen); three grandchildren, Sierra Jensen, Ella Swimley, and William T. Swimley, IV; brother, Gerald S. Swimley; and his nephew, Noah S. Swimley.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Donna Swimley.<\/p>\n<p>All services are private.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William\u2019s memory may be made to Burnt Factory United Methodist Church, 1943 Jordan Springs Road, Stephenson, Virginia 22656.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>William \u201cBilly T\u201d Swimley, Jr., age 72, of Winchester, Virginia passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at his residence.
