School Supplies for Bright Futures
Bright Futures, a division of the Office of Student Services for Winchester/Frederick Co. Public Schools, has expressed a need for school supplies. The vision of Bright Futures is “to inspire community partnerships that open a way for all children to learn, lead and serve to their full potential now and in the future.” During the month of August, they are offering an opportunity to “Stuff the Bus.” The Outreach Committee would like to offer this opportunity for anyone to donate the following supplies to help with this collection:
- Large, Sturdy Backpacks with multiple compartments (suitable for Middle and High School Students)
- Three-ring Binders (1” and 2”)
- Highlighters
- Two-pocket Folders, with and without prongs (Plain-colored)
- Dry Erase Markers
We will be collecting these items during in-person worship, Sunday, August 16 and 23, and on Thursday, August 20 from 9-2 and 6-8 pm. The red bins will be located in the church narthex for the collection.
