On Thursday, July 23rd, we will be collecting items in support of the Henry and William Evans Home for Children here in Winchester. The Red Bins will be available at the front door from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The current needs are:

  • Cereals
  • High Protein snacks: nuts, beef jerky, slim jims, protein bars, individual popcorn bags, individual protein drinks
  • Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues
  • Paper products: plates, small cups, bowls
  • Liquid Hand Soap
  • Laundry Detergent (pods)

This is a home where children who are in desperate circumstances, not of their own choices, are given a chance to not only live a normal childhood, but to thrive in all that life has to offer.  Since 1949, the Evans Home has welcomed more than 500 children, under a variety of circumstances and positively affected their lives – and in turn their communities.
